Judy Berrong

Judy Berrong, age 69, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 4:36 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital. Judy was a hard-working woman who was just shy of retiring after almost 40 years with the Henderson Housing Authority. She was a woman of faith and a decades long member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She served on the altar society for a very long time. Judy was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and recently served as president. She enjoyed tending her flowers and watching birds. Judy was a sweet soul, kind and selfless. Her life was a true testimony of her faith in Jesus. Her love for her family was everything. Judy’s husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her earthly reward on this side of Glory. In addition to her father, Woodrow Cummings and her mother, Roberta Ball, Judy was preceded in death by sisters: Norma Davis, Virginia Skaggs, and Mary Tillotson. Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years Terry Berrong; daughters Bobbi Littlepage and her husband Sammy of Henderson, KY and Jennifer Berrong of Henderson, KY; son Mike Berrong of Henderson, KY; brothers Darryl Cummings and his wife Darlene of Corydon, KY and Roger Cummings originally of Henderson, KY; grandchildren: Ashley Kennedy, Katie Snow, Cameron Berrong, Gracee Overfield, Jurnee Overfield, and Darra Eades; great grandchildren: Tucker, Sophie, Henry, Aniston, and Amelia; nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Judy’s Life Celebration from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and again on Friday starting at 9:00 at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Larry McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Altar Society.
