William Rudell "Rudy" Belcher Jr.

February 24, 1957 - January 24, 2022

Rudy Belcher age 64, born in Paducah, KY., raised in “God’s County” Smithland, KY., residing in Henderson, KY.; traveled from this life to his heavenly home on January 24, 2022 after a short battle with Brain Cancer while at home surrounded by family. As with Rudy’s famous Facebook posts, “We Travel We Eat”; we are sure that Rudy is seated at heaven’s banquet table right now with his mother and father, Rudell and Jean Belcher, his cousins Timmy, Joe and Pat Thomason, and his grandparents/aunts and uncles. A member of the Community Baptist Church, he loved God with all his being and spent his life showing that love to others. Rudy helped with many churches in the Henderson area as their media/sound specialist, fellowship cook, fundraising chairman (many people will miss his Kettle Corn or Rudy sandwiches), van driver and assistant to the music/youth and children’s workers. A computer technician Rudy graduated from U.K. Technical College and began his career as a bench tech with Texas Instruments in Houston, Texas; retiring as a computer service regional manager for the Tristate area with Hewlett Packard. As a loving husband, father, brother and grandparent Rudy’s support, time, good humor and love was never ending. Rudy leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Felicia Belcher; their two children Kris Belcher Mayes (John), Megan Belcher; brother Kent Belcher (Tina), nephew, David Belcher; grandchildren, Mitchell and Lacy Mayes; and many cousins. We will truly miss this “Diamond in the rough” of a man! Relatives and friends are invited to Rudy’s Life Celebration from 1:00 p.m. until the service time on Sunday at the Community Baptist Church 1026 Pebble Creek Drive, Henderson, KY. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30th at the church withs Reverend Dr. Tim Hobbs officiating.
