Stanley Michael Gorecki

March 3, 1944 - June 6, 2021

Stanley Michael Gorecki, age 77, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Sophie Gorecki. Stanley was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a supervisor at Anaconda Aluminum for many years and later worked at Audubon Metals before retiring at the age of 62. Stanley enjoyed taking trips with his family and friends to Canada to hunt deer and bear. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Sharon N. Gorecki of Henderson, KY; 2 daughters Suzette Gorecki of Henderson, KY and Sherrie Cowan and her husband Jim of Robards, KY; 2 sisters Jean Ruddy and her husband Don of Georgia and Mary Ann Borisuk of Florida; 2 grandchildren David Cowan and Molly Cowan; and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Stanley’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson, KY with Father Gary Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the Ft. Campbell Military Detail.
