Randall William “Randy” Peckenpaugh, age 75, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 2:35 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY. Randy retired as a custodian for the Henderson County School System at Hebbardsville and East Heights Elementary School. Randy enjoyed driving the bus for many of the high school athletic teams. He was very involved in the Henderson 4-H program. Randy enjoyed traveling the United States visiting many states with his daughter. Most of all, Randy loved his grandchildren and the time he spent with them, In addition to his parents Hugh and Elizabeth “Betty” Peckenpaugh, Randy was preceded in death by his wife Diane Peckenpaugh. He is survived by his two daughters Michelle Peckenpaugh of Henderson, KY and Sabrina Freeman and her husband Sean of Cumming, GA; one brother Michael L. Peckenpaugh and his wife Betty Joyce of Evansville, IN; 2 grandchildren Ashton Paige Smither and Private 1st Class William Ian Smither; and nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to Randy’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Saturday. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the funeral home with Darin Fambrough officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
