Mildred Frances Stone Kellen

Mrs. Mildred Frances Stone Kellen, aged 81, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday evening, December 15,2020, at her home. Mrs. Kellen was born in Henderson County and lived in the City of Henderson since childhood. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Ray Kellen and daughter Karen Kellen. Mrs. Kellen graduated Henderson City High School in 1958. In her youth she worked at several industries in town. Her primary interest was her family. She was caretaker for her husband, a sister, father, mother-in-law, and daughter. Her many nieces and nephews received her love and nurturance. Among her hobbies were Bunco, and other card games, cooking, and traveling. She visited every state and more than 18 countries and islands. She was a Girl Scout Troop leader for 12 years. She leaves behind her brother Hugh Elbert Stone of Champaign, Illinois and sister Ruth Cora Brown of Georgia, 23 nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Mrs. Kellen’s Life Celebration from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. this Sunday and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the service time at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020 at the funeral home with Reverend Jeff Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Due to Gov. Beshear’s mandate, masks are required prior to entry with limited seating per Covid-19 regulations.
