Mary Anna Rigdon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Anna Rigdon, age 80, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 6:38 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Deaconess Hospital in Henderson. Mary retired from the Henderson County Bus Garage after 36 years of loyal service. She loved “her” kids and taking them to and from school. She made many dear friends during her time at the bus garage. Mary was a lover of all animals, but most special was her cat “Missy”. In addition to her father, Elliot Tillerson and mother, Bonnie Wilkerson, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Rigdon; sisters: Lola West, Lula Mae Hicks, and Carolyn Davis; and a brother Goebel Tillerson. Mary is survived by her daughter Sheila McConnell and her husband Trent of Henderson, KY; son David Wayne Rigdon of Corydon, KY; sisters: Nancy Patterson, Betty Wilkerson, and Debbie Butler and her husband Tommy all of Henderson, KY; brother Michael Wilkerson and his wife Sheila of Henderson; grandchildren Tara McConnell Hunsinger of Henderson, KY and Zachary Rigdon and his wife Bailey of Colorado Springs, CO; great granddaughter Annalee Hunsinger; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Mary’s Life Celebration from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and again on Wednesday starting at 9:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the funeral home with Gary Shoulders officiating. Entombment will follow in the Fairmont Mausoleum in Henderson, KY.
