Marjorie Louise Kavanaugh Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marjorie Louise Kavanaugh, age 97, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Eleanor Holtz, husband Raymond Kavanaugh, two sisters Virginia Kollenberg and Jeanette Coleman and her son-in-law Donald Hughes. Marjorie worked at the Shipyard in Evansville, IN during WWII. She and Raymond were avid campers and would travel out West and to Okeechobee, FL for the winters. Marjorie was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was an enthusiastic U.K. basketball fan. Marjorie is survived by her daughters Donna White (Jim) and Mardel Hughes of Goose Creek, SC; son Steve Kavanaugh (Judi); sisters Delores Grimm of AZ and Jean Koestring of Evansville, IN; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Marjorie’s Life Celebration from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church with Pastor Mark Moog officiating. Burial will follow at Corydon Cemetery in Corydon, KY.
