Jerry R. Duncan

Jerry R. Duncan, age 81, of Corydon, KY, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2020, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Jerry was a hard worker. His life was dedicated to taking care of his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was self-employed for several years with Duncan’s Tank Truck Service. Jerry’s hobbies consisted of him mowing grass, squirrel hunting, spending time on his family farm, watching FOX news, and fishing in his spare time. Most of all, Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jerry valued life and appreciated the small things. Jerry had a kind, caring heart and was genuinely devoted to being a father, grandfather, friend, but mostly a husband. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Earl F. and Ruby (Shelton) Duncan. He is survived by his adoring wife of 63 years, Wanda Duncan; daughter Kathy Stanley and her husband Raymond of Corydon, KY; sons: Gregory Duncan and his wife Kim of Morganfield, KY, Jeffery Duncan of Corydon, KY, and Jason Duncan of Uniontown, KY; sisters: Joann Ferguson of Henderson, KY, Linda Markham and her husband George of Robards, KY, and Debra Staples of Henderson, KY; brother Ronnie Duncan of Evansville, IN; grandchildren: Justin, Brandi, Tiffany, Aaron, Megan, Tyler, Breanna, Paige, Jasmine, and Hailey; many great and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Jerry’s Life Celebration from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Reverend Jack Ross officiating . Burial will follow at Corydon Cemetery in Corydon, KY. Due to Gov. Beshear’s mandate, masks are required prior to entry with limited seating per Covid-19 regulations.
