Goldie Cornelia Beasley Haire

Goldie Cornelia Beasley Haire, age 85, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 12:02 a.m., Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital. Goldie was a member at Victory Baptist Church where she proudly listened to her son’s preaching each week. She enjoyed being a caregiver and companion to the elderly. Goldie was an excellent cook and worked for many years in the kitchens at Redbanks Nursing Home and Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation. She never met a stranger; conversation came easily to Goldie and she enjoyed talking with everyone. In addition to her parents, Walter and Laura Beasley, Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Haire, Sr., son Andy Lee Butler, siblings: Sissy Beasley, Lucille Billings, Faye Bush, George Beasley, Frank Beasley, Bill Beasley, James Beasley, and Tony Ray Beasley. Goldie is survived by her daughters Lura Loretta Scott of Henderson, KY and Kristi Robinson and her husband Brian of Central City, KY; son Allen Wayne Butler and his wife Linda of Henderson, KY; brothers William “Hambone” Beasley and his wife Linda of Cunningham, KY and Walter Beasley of Beaver Dam, KY; grandchildren: Zackary Butler, Keary Butler (Hana), Mark C. Scott, Jeffery Scott, Jordan Robinson (Amber), Kaitlyn Robinson, Jace Barron, and Donovan Duff; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Goldie’s Life Celebration from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and again on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the funeral home with brother Ellis Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed, KY. Pallbearers will be Goldie’s grandchildren.
