Donetta L. "Netta" Mullin

March 28, 1956 - January 5, 2021

Donetta L. “Netta” Mullin, age 64, of Smith Mills, KY, passed away at 1:58 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Netta was preceded in death by her father Donald Clyngenpeel. Netta was at one time the president of the Henderson Genealogical and Historical Society. She was fascinated by family history and took great joy in passing those stories on. Netta was an honorary Kentucky Colonel. She loved all things Disney, especially Mickey Mouse. She was an arts and crafts enthusiast and always had projects going. Out of all of these, Netta’s family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by her mother Ruthie Clyngenpeel of Indianapolis, IN; daughter Danielle Knight and her husband Eric of Murray, KY; son Jeremy Mullin and his wife Melissa of Corydon, KY; 2 sisters Lyna Gunderson and her husband Marc of Indianapolis, IN and Stancy Heddens and her husband Kimber of Henderson, KY; grandchildren: Zoe Knight, Zakary Mullin, McKenzie Talley, Gabriel Mullin, Mercedes Peay, Kyle Peay; and great-grandchildren Hazel Smitha, Paisley Sloan, and Grayson Talley. Relatives and friends are invited to Netta’s Life Celebration from 12:00 p.m. until the service time on Saturday, January 9, 2020 at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden, KY. Masks are required prior to entry with limited seating per Covid-19 regulations. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
