Dennis Eugene Martin

February 14, 1946 - January 30, 2021

Dennis Eugene Martin, age 74, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 10:58 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice in Henderson, KY. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Bailey Martin and Gladys Martin King. Dennis was an avid fly fisherman. He was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church for many years. He served as a deacon and volunteered for many different activities at the church; from vacation bible school to helping with the concession trailer he was always willing to help. He enjoyed his time volunteering for hospice. Most of all, Dennis was a wonderful Christian, husband, father, and grandfather “Fishie”. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Debbie Cook Martin of Henderson, KY; sons Christopher Martin and his wife Julie of Ft. Collins, CO and Kyle Martin and his wife Natalie of Henderson, KY; brothers Jerry L. Martin and his wife Adell of Hebron, CT and Tim Martin and his wife Cathy of Louisville, KY; and 5 grandchildren: Ellie Martin, Hannah Martin, Lily Martin, Joshua Martin, and Sarah Martin. Relatives and friends are invited to Dennis’ Life Celebration from 2:00 until the service time on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Zion Baptist Church in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church with Reverend Mike Spivey officiating. Private burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
