Steven Wayne Hall

Steven Wayne Hall, age 59, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 6:53 PM, Saturday, December 24, 2016, at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Steve was born and lived in Henderson and was of the Christian faith. He served on the Henderson City Fire Department from 1983 to 2007 from which he retired. He served as a Captain on the department and was the Fire Marshal for the City of Henderson. In the early 90’s he owned and operated Steve’s Billiard's & Brains which was previously the Family Corner Bar, which was owned and operated by his father. They were known for their great brain sandwiches. Steve was a great cook and served his patrons on many occasions to show his appreciation for their patronage. He loved to shoot pool and did so very well. After retiring he worked at Auto Zone for over 5 years. He enjoyed dining out, concerts and music. Everyone in Henderson seemed to know Steve. His personality and caring nature was no surprise to everyone he met. In 2013 he met his fiancée Jayelynn. Together she and his daughter cared for him and never left his side before he passed away. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Hall, his mother, Margie Sample and his first wife, Barbara Nelson Hall. Survivors include: Daughter: Jennifer Hall of Evansville, IN Son: Joseph Hall and wife Heather of Evansville, IN Fiancée: Jayelynn Blanford and her children, Emma Blanford and Julia Alvey all of Henderson, KY 2 Brothers: Mark Hall and wife Delores of Henderson, KY Rick Hall of Madisonville, KY 1 Granddaughter: Josie Hall 2 Grandsons: Taylor Bowen and Kaleb Bowen Relatives and friends are invited to Steve’s Life Celebration from 3:00- 8:00 PM Monday, January 2, 2017 and again on Tuesday starting at 10:00 AM at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home with Brother Vince Vaught officiating. Burial will be on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
