Ronald F. Kissel

Ronald F. Kissel, age 75, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Henderson, KY, passed away at 1:33 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. Ronald graduated in 1964 from Mater Dei High School in Evansville. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Evansville and his master’s degree in education from Murray State University. He taught business, computer, accounting, and keyboarding for the Henderson County School System for 30 years. Ronald was a Shriner and a member of the Masonic Lodge, York Rite, and Scottish Rite in Evansville. After retirement he moved to Florida where he lived for many years. Ronald enjoyed metal detecting, deep sea fishing, riding horses and cherished his dog, Valentine. He was preceded in death by his parents Waldemar, Sr. and Maxine Kissel, wife Vivian Jenkins Kissel, and sister-in-law Mary Lou Kissel. Ronald is survived by his partner of 22 years Laura Kissel and her daughter Crystal Wyatt of Deland, FL; sisters Darlene Pfettscher and husband Earl of Evansville, IN and Toni Kissel and husband Gary Tuchler of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brothers Gerald Kissel of Evansville, IN and Waldemar Kissel, Jr. and wife Melva of Gainsville, FL; many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Ronald’s Life Celebration from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Stephen Than officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, IN. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the funeral home.
