It is with deep sadness and loving hearts that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, Mary (Rose) Gold on August 28, 2026, who lived a long and meaningful life of 84 years. Mary was a hardworking, strong, faith-filled, and compassionate woman who devoted her life to the people she loved. Throughout her life, Mary faced challenges with strength, grace, and determination. She never hesitated to put the needs of her family before her own. She was a resolute wife, a loving mother, a proud Nana, and the heart of her family. Her greatest joy was caring for and supporting her family. Her love for her children was unwavering, and she remained a constant source of comfort, protection, encouragement. She shared many years of marriage with her husband, Herbert, building a life together filled with love, family, hard work, and cherished memories. Those who knew Mary will remember her for her laughter, generous heart, strong spirit, hardworking nature, and the love she showed through everything she did. Her greatest legacy will not be measured by possessions, but by the lives she touched and the family she loved so deeply. She leaves behind her husband Herbert, her son Jason Gold, her daughter Alanna Gold, grandchildren Isaac and Isabelle Harris, daughter-in-law Molly Harris, nieces Audrey Fox and Lori Hale, and two brothers Robert and Charles Rose along with a host of family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her son Kurt Harris, her mother and father James and Nancy Rose, and siblings Katherine Edgerson, Edna Hale, Anna Rose, Daisy Campbell, John Rose and Nathaniel Collins. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, strength, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Rest peacefully, Mary. Your work here is done, but your love will remain with us forever. Relatives and friends are invited to Mary’s Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson, KY. A Memorial Mass service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church with Father Richard Meredith officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
