Linda F. Welch

Linda F. Welch, age 83, of Henderson, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Friday November 4, 2022, at Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Linda was a faithful woman who loved the Lord. She was continuously active in her church membership from First Assembly of God to Abundant Life, then back to First Assembly for her final years. Linda was a prayer warrior. She impacted and influenced countless believers in her walk with the Lord. She taught Sunday School, led prayer meetings, bible study groups, and spoke into the lives of so many. Linda was an encourager and an exhorter; she could find the good in situations where the good was hard to find. Linda’s love for the Lord was amplified in her devoted care of her home, her husband, and her sons. It was in that sacred space where her family and friends could find a restful and peaceful atmosphere, something she intentionally worked to provide. Those who were blessed to know her loved her deeply. While she will be missed here, comfort is found in the sure knowledge that Linda has achieved her reward and is with her Lord. In addition to her parents, Posey and Edna Hurt, Linda was preceded in death by her husband Roy Welch; son Mark Welch; and siblings: Bud Hurt, Jerry Hurt, and Ann Samples. Linda is survived by her son Mike Welch and his wife Charlene; grandchildren: Caleb Welch and his wife Rachael, Matthew Welch and his wife Kenzie, Michelle Dockery and her husband Don, DeAnn Madrid; great grandchildren: Ezra Welch, Kaelyn Madrid, Landon Evans, Jaxon Evans; great great grandchildren: Mia Madrid, Carter Evans, Nova Lovejoy; her faithful friend Beverly Wilson; and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Linda’s Life Celebration from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, and again on Friday starting at 10:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Mike and Charlene Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY with Pastor Jeff Ferguson officiating the committal service.
