John M. Luckett III

John M. Luckett III, age 76, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 2:29 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. John graduated from University of Evansville with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He became a certified public accountant and was a partner at Gaither, Koewler, Rohlfer, and Luckett for 20 years. He then worked at Industrial Contractors Inc. as Chief Financial Officer for 21 years before retiring in 2011. During his career John established lifelong friendships with his co-workers and peers. John was the tech guru of his family and some of his favorite hobbies were golf, nice cars, and photography. John was a longtime member at First United Methodist Church of Henderson. He served on their finance committee and enjoyed attending the men’s bible study group. Above all else John enjoyed creating memories with his family and loved them dearly. John was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Margaret (Burns) Luckett. John is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Jeanelle (Vaught) Luckett of Henderson, KY; children: John Luckett IV (Deborah) of Windermere, FL, Christopher Luckett of Bardstown, KY, and Brian Garrand (Sarah) of Nolensville, TN; sisters: Cathy Crick (Larry) of Henderson, KY, Debra Crowder of Henderson, KY, and Mary Luckett of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren: Madison Luckett, Brenden Luckett, Abigail Luckett, Kennedy Luckett, Victoria Grace Luckett, Walker Garrand, Lila Grace Garrand, and Tate Garrand. Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Life Celebration from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Reverend Janet Carden officiating. Entombment will follow at Fairmont Mausoleum in Henderson, KY.
