James L. "Boz" Boswell James L. "Boz" Boswell, age 71, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 4:42 PM, Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, Newburgh, IN. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren and John Boswell. He had worked at the 5th and Green St. car dealership when it started as Scott McGraw, which was changed to Ridley's Buick at the time of closure for 37 years. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. He was a 50 year Mason of the Masonic Providence Lodge #148. He was Vice President of the Henderson Shrine Club, contributed to the organization as a driver to transport children to the Shriners Hospital from the Western, KY region, and participated in the Henderson Shrine Club 4-wheelers and Western KY Shrine Jesters. He was also a member of the Henderson Elks Lodge #204 previously serving as the Exalted Ruler and Trustee. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a Tennessee Squire. Boz will be greatly missed by the shrine children, Shriners, and Masons everywhere. He never met a stranger. He loved his church, family, friends, and shrine children. Survivors include: Wife of 45 years: Mary Lou Boswell Henderson, KY 1 Daughter: Jamie Boswell Henderson, KY 1 Sister: Drucilla Boswell Henderson, KY 2 Grandsons: Aden Bryce Carter and Kaleb James Sharp Several Nieces and Nephews Several Great Nieces and Nephews Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 27, 2009 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Henderson, KY. Rev.s Ted Burke and Laddie Pride will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Henderson, KY. Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY is in charge of arrangements. A Masonic Service will be conducted 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 26 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Henderson, KY. Friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Henderson, KY and from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Henderson, KY. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: Chapel Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund or Shriners Children's Hospital. Pallbearers will be: Terry Jacobs, Brad Carter, Eric Sharp, Dorsey Ridley, Sam Galloway, Sonny Slifer, Terry Rider, John Coomes, and Johnny Carl Beasley. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Members of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, Elks, and Shrine Jesters.
