Carl Leo "Sonny" Mobley

Carl Leo “Sonny” Mobley, age 85, of Henderson, KY, went to sleep with Jesus at 12:12 pm, on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Lee “Cap” and Alvis Mobley; brother and sister Bill Mobley and Betty Mobley Harwood of Michigan; and his great-granddaughter Abigail Fambrough. Carl graduated from Sturgis KY High School in 1955. He served in the Air Force for 20 years. Carl worked at Gibbs Diecasting for many years. He was a member of the Evansville Westside Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he served as Head Deacon as well as Head Greeter. Carl loved the Lord, his wife and her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandson as his own. He always had a smile on his face. Carl was a very kind, generous, easy-going man. Carl is survived by his wife of 33 years Bobbie Crowley Bullock Mobley; daughters Patricia Bullock of Henderson, KY and Barbara Bigers (Ronnie) of Robards, KY; son Fred Bullock of Robards, KY; granddaughters Shantina Bullock Andrews (Chris) of Henderson, KY and Tonya Fambrough (Barry) of Oakland City, IN; grandsons: Brandon Nunn (Bonnie) of Robards, KY, Charlie Marsh (Dusty) of Corydon, KY, Gage Bullock of Hawaii, and Zachary Bullock (Abigail) of Evansville, IN; great-granddaughters: Mya Bullock of Henderson, KY, Danielle Fambrough of Oakland City, IN, Brooklyn and Brennan Marsh of Corydon, KY; great-grandsons Austin T. Stone of Henderson, KY and Hunter Fambrough of Oakland City, IN; great-great-grandson Gavin Gage McMeans of Henderson, KY; nieces Beth McClure of Henderson, KY and Susan Crowley Hull (Gene) of Hendersonville, TN; nephews Kerry McClure (Doris) of Newburgh, IN and Ed Crowley (Donna) of Gallatin, TN; and several nieces and nephews in Michigan and many cousins in Union County, KY and Evansville, IN. Relatives and friends are invited to Carl’s Life Celebration from 9:00 am until service time on Monday, November 1st, 2021 at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
