Bobby Ray (Bob) Buchanan

Bobby Ray (Bob) Buchanan of Henderson, Kentucky passed away on November 14, 2022, at 1:30 a.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Bob was born on May 25, 1932, in Morganfield, KY and was a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky. He worked for over 30 years at A&H Truck Line as Vice President/Treasurer. He retired after twenty-five years of service as a United States Army Lieutenant Colonel. Bob was a member of First Christian Church in Evansville, IN where he served both as an Elder and Trustee. He was a member of the Henderson County Rotary Club. Bob was a hard-worker and gave his absolute best in every single endeavor. He enjoyed spending his later years in Scottsdale, Arizona. He loved his family and friends, and even more importantly, he loved the Lord. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Betsy Ann Buchanan, as well as his mother, Kathryn Tapp Buchanan, and father, Thomas Buchanan. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Joiner and brother, Billy Gene Buchanan, as well as his nephew, Jim Joiner. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Bobbie Campbell Buchanan and daughters Beth Buchanan of Evansville, Indiana, and Belinda Buchanan of Scottsdale, Arizona. He is also survived by nieces, Nonnie Hopper and Kim Liggett (Kenny), all of Henderson, KY, as well as nephew, Tim Joiner (Kelly) of Morganfield, KY. He is also survived by several great-nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Bob’s Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Reverend Jerry Clark officiating. Entombment will follow at the Fairmont Mausoleum Chapel in Henderson, KY.
