Betty Ann Cambron Farley

Betty Ann Cambron Farley, age 84, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 2:40 PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at her home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Mrs. Farley was preceded in death by her parents George and Lilla Mae Graves Cambron, husband Malcolm “Mac” Farley, children Debra, David, Dianne, Elizabeth “Buffy”, Tom, and Chris, granddaughter Jennifer Hunt, grandson Nicholas Farley, great granddaughter Morgan Farley, and brother Len Cambron. Betty Ann attended Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and was a devoted Catholic. She was very much involved in the church, Ladies Auxiliary, Altar Society, Cursillo, and Bible studies. Betty Ann said her greatest joy was teaching Vacation Bible School and Sunday pre-school classes. She was a stay-at-home mom and involved in Henderson Homemakers. Betty Ann had the gift of gab and started her own Tupperware business for 25 years as a Manager, her unit The Best Betts, was very successful and always at the top. Betty Ann drove the school bus for Holy Name School and the Henderson County School System. She was also a room mother for the school and a track mom for her children and their friends. She was involved in 4-H and was a troop leader for many years. After her retirement, Betty Ann spent her time volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and Henderson County Diabetes Coalition, Inc. Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Marcia Effinger and husband Bryan of Mt. Vernon, IN; 5 Sons: Jim Farley and wife Pauline, Bruce Farley and wife Patti, Richard Farley and wife Sabrina, Tim Farley and wife Charyl all of Henderson, KY, Joe Farley and partner Noel of Los Angeles, CA; 2 Sisters: Frances Agnew of Springfield, KY & Marlene Schroeder and husband George of New Albany, IN; 13 Grandchildren: Mike Vanover, Jamie Markwell, Bruce Jr., Kristine, Rebecca, Christian, Isaac, and David Farley, Betsy Mullins and husband Dustin, Elizabeth Vislay and husband Matt, Barb Patrick and husband Timmy, Lauren Sheets, and Leslie Burton and husband Chris; 2 Step-Grandchildren: Jessica Gibson and Nat Gibson; 11 Great Grandchildren: Crissy Markwell, Annie, LillaMae, Michaela Patrick and Norah Burton, Declan, Cambron, & Evan Farley, and Ava Reed Farley; 5 Step-Great Grandchildren: Alex Bonnell, Kenna & Kathryn Crawford, Bradley & Whitlee Gibson. Relatives and friends are invited to Betty Ann’s Life Celebration from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and again on Friday starting at 9:00 AM at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Larry McBride at 12:00 PM, Friday, December 13, 2013 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Henderson, KY. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery, Henderson, KY. A Prayer Service will be held 7:00, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home Deacon Richard Beaven.
