Alexzander "Cowboy" McLean

Alexzander “Cowboy” McLean, age 18, of Harrisburg, IL, paid his final entry at 8:53 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. Alex had many nicknames, but he truly was a cowboy. He was passionate about bull riding and traveled all over the tristate and beyond going to rodeos. This cowboy was a family man. He loved his family and would always bring them up; whether talking about how special his dad was or that his sister was...his sister, he was always sharing how important they were in his life. Alex loved the Lord. His favorite verse was Psalms 4:13 and he was never too shy to share his faith. It didn’t matter what kind of day you were having; if Alex wanted to make you laugh, he would do it. Alex was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Mike and Donna Powell, Howard Gale Dillon, and Rose William; grandfather Kevin Parrish; and uncle Edward Shelton. Alex is survived by his mother Amber Martin (William) of Nashville, TN; father Joshua McLean (Marisa Turner); grandparents Tammy Gibson and Kevin Reynolds of Harrisburg, IL; sisters: Carly McLean of Madisonville, KY, Angela McLean of Harrisburg, IL, and Deztini Miller of Nashville, TN; brothers: Joshua McLean, Jr. of Harrisburg, IL, Dalton McLean of Henderson, KY, Eli McLean of Henderson, KY, Coleman Martin of Nashville, TN, and Jaxon Martin of Nashville, TN; niece Winter Coomer of Henderson, KY; and many cousins, specifically Cameron Chang, Waylon McLean, and Katlyn McLean who were his best friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Alex’s Life Celebration from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and again on Thursday starting at 10:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the funeral home with Bro. Jamie Senn and Rev. Randy Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
