Victor Brian Perry

Victor Brian Perry, age 55, passed away in his sleep on the morning of Sept. 18, 2013. Vic was born in Ashland, KY and had resided in Henderson, KY for 37 years. He was a graduate of HCHS, and after attending college at WKU, he had a successful career in manufacturing maintenance with local companies Perma Industries, Kusan, and Aeroquip. Later he provided technical engineering support as a consultant to Siemens in Juarez, Mexico. After a series of successful investments including local properties, he retired from manufacturing and remained self-employed. Vic had a diverse range of talents including watercolor and oil painting, knowledge of hydraulic electrical systems and a mastery of conversational Spanish. His love for fishing and the outdoors brought him many hours of joy, fishing on the Green and Ohio Rivers, Glacier Lake Montana, and the Gulf Coast of Texas. Vic’s genuine personality and unique homespun humor endeared him to all who knew him. Honesty, compassion, patience, kindness and humility were virtues that he wore as comfortably as his familiar overalls. Victor was preceded in death by his late wife Margaret Delker Perry in 2008. Survivors include: Parents: William Fred Perry and Priscilla Mullins Perry Spring, TX 1 Sister: Kelli Perry Covarrubias and husband Nick Montgomery, TX 1 Brother: John Perry and wife Mary Boaz Perry Dania Beach, FL Vic was also beloved by his numerous extended family members and dear nieces and nephew including Chelsea Perry, Amanda Perry, Ruth Ann De Angelis, Jessica Luck, Zachary Pritchett, and Samantha Pritchett Martinez. Vic’s passing leaves a deep sense of loss but a treasure of warm memories to many friends in the Henderson community. Relatives and friends are invited to Victor’s Life Celebration from 5:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 and again on Thursday starting at 9:00 AM until service time. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at Benton- Glunt Funeral Home with Reverend Ted Burke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Henderson, KY.
