Sharon Louise Reeder Sauer, 68 of Henderson, KY, passed away at 3:24 AM, Thursday, April 13, 2017 , at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, IN. She was preceded in death by: Mother: Virginia Wood Reeder Cobb, Grandfather Clarence Wood, Grandmother: Mary Louise Wood, brother: Jerry Wood Reeder Sharon was a charitable and compassionate woman. She always thought of others before she thought of herself. She had several organizations and causes that were dear to her. She loved to shop online often causing the UPS man to visit her house several times a week. She was creative and loved to come up with “projects” to make with her grandchildren. She loved anything Elvis Presley ever sang or starred in. She had a love for animals which sometimes caused issues. For instance, the time she started feeding squirrels in the backyard. They loved her so much that they took up residence in the attic. She had a cute sense of humor and loved to laugh. Her family will miss her doing the “Memaw Dance” to any kind of music she heard. Survivors include: her husband and best friend of 28 years David A. Sauer 2 Daughters: Michelle L. Hodges Rose (Kelly) Tammy Abbott (Jeff) 3 Sons: Scott Sauer (Margie) Matt Sauer ( Jennifer) Tony Sauer (Debbie) Special adopted son: Robert L. Roberts 11 Grandchildren: Lauren M. Haire, Megan Sauer, Brittany Simcox, Chelsea Skaggs, Jonathan Sauer, Jacob Sauer, Mallory Sauer, Mason Sauer, Jenna Abbott, Dylan Abbott and Madaline Sauer 2 Great Grandchildren: Cayden Shelton and Naomi Simcox. Sharon was looking forward to the arrival of her newest great-grandchild, Arielle Hairlson, who is due to be born very soon. She will surely be Arielle’s guardian angel in Heaven. Cousins: Gary Sandefur, Evansville, IN and Rita Murphy, Baytown, TX Furbaby: Princess Precious, the pocket beagle Grand-Furbabies: Cassie, Seth, Melo and Angel Relatives and friends are invited to Sharon Sauer’s Life Celebration from 3-8 PM Sunday, April 16, 2017 and again on Monday 10-11:30 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. Prayer services will be Sunday at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Anthony Shonis at noon on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church Entombment will follow at Fairmont Mausoleum in Henderson, KY.
