Ronald W. House, age 85, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Heart Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Ronnie was a lifelong member of Belleview United Methodist Church in Smith Mills, KY, serving as Chairman of the Administrative Board for many years. He was a member of the Methodist Men’s Club, the Masonic Lodge, Sons of American Revolution, and a Kentucky Colonel. Ronnie retired from Barry’s Pharmacy after almost 50 years of service. Many of you will remember him the past few years as “the man at the phone counter”. He was an avid UK Wildcats fan and loved his grand fur babies Reed, Princess, Ollie, and Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents Basil and Lila House, sisters Lena Margaret House and Virginia House Reynolds, brothers: Basil House, Charles Mason House, and David “D.C.” House, a nephew Paul David House, and a niece Vickie House Stone. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 61 years Shirley House, sons Timothy House (Joseph), Jon House (Julie) all of Henderson, KY; twin brother Donald H. House (Sue Gail) of Smith Mills, KY; 3 grandchildren: Ashley Durham, Aaron Hogan, and Deanna Evans; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Ronnie’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home where a Masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at Belleview United Methodist Church in Smith Mills, KY. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the church with Pastor Stephen Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Mills Cemetery in Smith Mills, KY. Pallbearers will be Steve House, Daniel House, Aaron Hogan, Randy Trent, Kelly Brooks, and Greg Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Ashley Durham and Deanna Evans.
