Linda Mitchell Oliver

Linda Mitchell Oliver, age 78, of Henderson, KY, passed away, Friday, October 27, 2017, at her daughter’s home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. She was born December 11, 1938 in Henderson and later moved to Hopkinsville, KY where she graduated from Hopkinsville High School. She worked at a Tax Preparation office in Hopkinsville. In 1966 she moved back to Henderson where she and her husband, Bobby Oliver purchased Sheffer Electric. Then after they sold Sheffer Electric she went to work as an Office Manager at Brann’s Plumbing from where she retired after many years. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, and a member of the Business Professional Club. Linda and her husband Bobby where owners and breeders of harness horses for many years. She spent most of her time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter, they were the love of her life. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Howell C. Mitchell, her mother, Connie Bishop McDonald, a sister, Roxy Baas, and her husband of 61 years, Bobby Dale Oliver, who died May 11, 2016. Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Tracey Oliver Green and husband Rick 3 Granddaughters: Tara Mullins and husband Josh, Kala Green, Gabbi Green 1 Great Granddaughter: Mila Knight all of Henderson, KY 1 Niece: Erica Baas 1 Nephew: Justin Baas Relatives and friends are invited to Linda’s Life Celebration from 1:00-6:00 PM, Sunday, October 29, 2017 and again on Monday starting at 11:00 AM at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home with Reverend Jim Wofford officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Pallbearers will be Dr. Don Bishop, Ronald Nunn, Doug Oliver, Josh Mullins, Dr. Luel Overstreet, Roscoe Sheed, Scott Baas Honorary Pallbearer will be Glenn Bishop Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First United Methodist Church Building Fund and St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S.
