John L. Vukovich John L. Vukovich, age 88, of Henderson, KY, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, January 11, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. John was born August 24, 1929. He had a deep love of his faith, family, and country. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and served his country through his service in the United States Army. Those who new John knew they would always get a warm smile, a firm handshake and a snappy come back. He loved sports and remained an avid bowler and golfer into his 80’s. He enjoyed keeping tabs on all his grandchildren and their endeavors. At parties, wedding and family get togethers, once the music started you could always find him on the dance floor. John was truly a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed. John was preceded in death by his parents, Carlo and Frances Vukovich and a grandson, Brandon Vukovich, and his first wife, Florence Vukovich. Survivors include: Wife of 28 years: Janet Vukovich Henderson, KY 2 Sons: William “Bill” Vukovich and wife Abby Evansville, IN Tom Vukovich and wife Susan Newburgh, IN 4 Daughters: Shirley Vukovich Evansville, IN Dana Henderson and husband Sid Henderson, Ky Denise Clark and husband Jimbo Henderson, KY Donna Mulcahy and husband Rob Henderson, KY 15 Grandchildren: Daemion Vukovich, Aaron Vukovich, John L. Vukovich, Lacey Short and husband Ryan, Nicky Vukovich, Jacki Vukovich, Thane Lacaze, Taylor Douglas, Cole Schriber, Chrissy Schriber, Jacob Mulcahy, Shelbi Mulcahy, Sarah Mulcahy, Demara Fuchs, Christy Fuchs Several Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Life Celebration from 3:00- 8:00 PM on Monday, January 15, 2018 and again on Tuesday from 10:00-11:30 A.M. at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Larry McBride will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Henderson, KY, Full military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.
