Eddie L. Duncan

Eddie Lee Duncan, age 92, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 5:53 PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital, Evansville, IN. Eddie was a U.S. Army veteran; he spent 3 years in the service and fought in WWII. He was in the 11th Airborne Division. Eddie was a member of the American Legion and life time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Eddie lived in Jeffersonville, IN for 50 years. Eddie was a very gifted guitar player. In his younger days he played and sang with some local groups. He worked for Reynolds metal for 30 years in Louisville, KY. During his retirement he enjoyed fishing and camping. Eddie travel to many different camp grounds around the country. He gave his life to the Lord at age 80. He was a very active member of Lighthouse Outreach Church, at one time being a board member. He will always be remembered by his loved ones as a jokester. He loved playing jokes, had a great sense of humor and always had a cute story to share. He was preceded in death by his parents Ed Thomas and Effie Ann Duncan, brothers Voyd, Jimmy, Gussie, Billy, Herchel, Jessie, Ray, and Bobby Duncan, sisters Hallie Watson, Cora Mae Husky, Bessie Duncan, and Edith Jackson. Survivors include: Wife of 20 years: Carolyn Duncan Henderson, KY 2 Step-Sons: James Faulkner and wife Deanie Thomas Earl Faulkner Henderson, KY Brothers: Nakomis Duncan and wife Carol Jeffersonville, IN 2 Brothers-in-law: Ronnie Perkins and wife Susie Henderson, KY Robert Walker and wife Lisa MI 1 Granddaughter: Erin Faulkner Robards, KY Caregiver & Sister-in-law: Susie Perkins Lots of Nieces and Nephews Relatives and friends are invited to Eddie’s Life Celebration from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Friday and again on Saturday starting at 10:00 AM at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the funeral home with the Reverend A.G. Winters officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.
