Charles "Tootie" Bourland

Charles “Tootie” Bourland, age 64, of Henderson, KY, passed away on October 15, 2022, suddenly at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Jo Ann Bourland and father -in- law William “Bill” Overby. Tootie was a very strong man in his service to the Lord and his family. He and his wife founded and co-pastored The Father’s House Church for 17 years. He enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with his church family every Friday night. He was devoted to and served in the Jail and Prison Ministry for many years. His greatest joy in life were his children and grandchildren. Tootie was a caring man, and reached out to family, friends and anyone in need. He was most certainly the Bourland patriarch. He was currently working at Gibbs Die Casting as a tool and die maker as a dedicated employee for the last 46 years. He enjoyed boating on Lake Barkley with family, watching the U.K. Wildcats play and joked that he “bled blue”. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Lisa Overby Bourland of Henderson, KY; daughters Beth (Scott) Comer, Lori (Forrest) Williamson both of Fishers, IN; son Aric Bourland of Henderson, KY; his mother- in- law Marjorie Overby Ferguson of Henderson, KY; sister Lynette “Sissy” (Jason) Lewis of Manitou, KY; brothers Michael (Teriza) Bourland of Adams, TN and Ricky Bourland of Fredonia, KY; 6 grandchildren Maddie Belle Comer, William Aidan Comer, John Wesley Comer, Meadow Landrey Williamson, Grady Hayes Williamson, Brody Charles Williamson, several beloved nieces and nephews, and his little Bellalu. Relatives and friends are invited to Pastor Tootie’s Life Celebration from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Frank Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
