Billy Frank Herron

Bill Frank Herron loved the Lord and went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Scarlett (Beck) Herron for 37 years. He was born to Raymond M. Herron and Pauline (Mitchell) Herron and grew up in Clay, KY with two brothers, Leo Herron and Carroll Herron, all who have preceded him in death. Bill took over the family furniture business in Clay after the death of his father. He then relocated and opened up an upholstery business in Henderson until 1996. Bill enjoyed time with his large extended family. He loved the KY wildcats and rarely missed a game. He was an avid fisherman his entire life and caught a lifetime of fish that he happily shared. Bill enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, he loved to win. Bill and Scarlett enjoyed their yearly trips to Florida until he could no longer travel. He also was adamant about exercise and rarely missed a morning either at the gym or at home. Golf was also a favorite pastime. If you knew Bill, you knew he loved to laugh and joke with family and friends and always had a story. He was a friend to all. Bill and Scarlett have been devoted members of First Baptist Church for many years. He loved his Sunday School class members and looked forward to seeing his church family every Sunday. He was devoted to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bill is survived by his devoted and loving wife Scarlett (Beck) Herron of Henderson, KY; children from a previous marriage: Tammy Jane Byrd (Brad) and Billy Todd Herron both of Evansville, IN, Trudy Herron Moneyhan (Allan) of St. Petersburg, FL, and Holly Herron Adams (Billy) of Sturgis, KY; step-children: Kimberly Bullock (Mike) of Calhoun, KY, Jeff Ervin, and Shelly Bowling (Mark) both of Henderson, KY; 7 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, and Shirley Johnson a beloved friend. The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Anthony’s Hospice nurses Jennifer, Sarah, Lisa, and Mary and all of the loving staff that took care of Bill. Relatives and friends are invited to Bill’s Life Celebration from 9:00 until the service time on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 307 Center Street, Henderson, KY, 42420. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church with Pastor Jody Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Pallbearers will be Jeff Ervin, Calvin Beck, Jr., Terry Box, Harold Fulkerson, Alan Moneyhan, and Billy Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Bowling, Bill Kramer, and Barry Buckman.
